Friday's Blog, June 1st

Mr. Jones writing here!  Sorry for not having a post here in some time.  We had some issues with some students in the handling of the blog and it was shut down for awhile.  Hopefully we will be posting every day for the rest of the year.  If you were absent, it is your responsibility to check with me or one of your classmates regarding missing assignments.

Today was a short day due to the performance of "The Wizard of Oz"!!  WOW!!  I am so impressed with what our students accomplish----absolutely incredible.  Lots of laughs and drama too!  "THANK YOU" to every one who helped, even in the smallest way.

Today I collected the Reading Journals, 15.1 - 15.4 (Monday was a holiday, so no 15.5).  If you didn't turn in any of this work, please get it turned in a.s.a.p.

We also took the second vocabulary test of the semester.  If you were absent, it is your responsibility to arrange a time with me to make it up.

Please return your "Tuck Everlasting" novels as well as you textbooks that Ms. Nakada assigned to you at the beginning of the year!!  That's it for now....see you on Monday!!

Today Mr.Jones told me to write the blog. Mr.Jones gave me my math journal and said that I gave him my math journal by mistake insted of my reading journal. We are writing down the words for Vocab test. Here are the words we are going to have to study for the test.

So today Annabelle read the blog because Taaj was send down to the counciling office I don't know why though. So Mr. Jones was explaing to the class on what should we write in the blog. Mr. Jones is telling us a story that I think is relating on what we are doing in class. The class is pretty quiet and listening attentivly. But now some kids are talking. Jada and Anayah look bored out of their minds and Mr. Jones said the story because something about a libary and a phone I think? Now we are talking about the Tuck Everlastin book. Jada just showed me her make-up cover and asked me if its cute and to tell you the truth nahhhh it wasn't not to be mean or anything though. Now we are opening our literture books to page 352. Its a story called "The Fun They Had" . The whole point of class today was to read the story and talk about it and all also to talk about homework and stuff like that. Mr. Jones is tring to continue explaining about the story to clearify things. They sit right next to each other I think unless Annebelle move there on purpose. Now Mr. Jones is reading the story and its pretty good.  Gislane just waves at me sarcasticly since she knows I put her in the blog. Now the phone rang and Mr. Jones picked up the phone. . Now that his is reading again thery're quiet sort of. Now Mr. Jones said he is going to give some U's in this class. Now he answered the phone and Jonny has to got to the counciling of because Ms. Mac donald wants him. Now Mr. Jones is saying another story about his life. Jonthan and Jovi were just argueing. Now the class was talking about the story in the literture book. Now the bell rang soooooo... peace!!!!!! P.s Isaiah just said minnie god are awsome and please reply and I want to say hopefully everything is going fine with you and your new baby :-D Hi ms.nakada i miss you from Sarai.

Mr. Jones writing: today in class students were given an opportunity to catch up on assignments that have not been turned in yet.  Eventually we will watch the movie "Tuck Everlasting".  Anayah says that she has the movie at home and will bring it in for us.  Thank you Anayah!  The overall class behavior was very good.

    So Sadie wasn't here so Sarai read it. After she read it she pucked me. Anaya tried to throw a pencil into the cup. FAIL!!!! Mr. Jones is talking to Jonny because he was talking to me. In math class me and Johnny made up a thing called Serene Sardines. The special thing is, is that you are supposed to make a face to it. Like this......... Anaya was complaining that it smelled like perfume or spray or something and told Mr. Jones. He said if he caught someone spraying something he can have them suspended. Mr. Jones is telling a story about dragons. Johnny got in trouble AGAIN. Hi Ms.Nakada! That was really RANDOM. Taaj made a weird sound that only a few people know what that means. I am one of them. UUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHH. This computer keeps on blacking out on me!!!!!! It's very annoying. Gary is talking to Jada while smiling. OOOOOOOOOOO.... wow. they r still talking. I am going to time them for how long they do. =) wink wink. 1 min! Only one min. =( lol Daniel is and chewing on his thumb. This dragon story is actually pretty good. It's all not true. Owwwwwww I just hit my funny bone

                                            So today Edwin read his blog and Johnny and Moar told him to pick me so he did. Right now Mr.Jones just past out English Language Arts Released test and told us to read quietly. Anayah just left the room to go to the nurses office. Since Mr.Jones told us to read quietly some people are not doing that. H e had o write down the names of the people that are not reading. The rom is so queit finally for once i think. The class is still reading but it looks like some people are bored and just want to fall asleep.Roque just sang a song than Sarah was singing with him and Johnny said be quiet you are not black so don't be singing that song. Now Mr.Jones went on youtube and put in Tallest tree found in Redwoods. Anayah just walked backed in from the nurses office. While the video is playing a lot of people are talking. Johnathan just said ''Oh i have been there.'' Mostly the whole class is saying that this video is nasty i do not know why.Now sarah is turned around and she is talking to Johnathan. Now Mr.Jones put on a different video and some people started rocking out to the song. The class is starting to get to loud. Johnny is starting to make some nasty sounds. Mikai read his blog then picked me. Everyone is talking while Mr. Jones passes out tha tests..and i have to start mine so brb....done wit my test it was really easy. Now almost everyone is done wit their test and Mr. Jones is collecting them. Right now Johnny and Taaj r making noise, playing around and laughing. And Jiaqi juss said hi 2 me. Now Pedro is out of his seat and almost everyone is playing around but quietly. Now we r correcting tests and i didn't turn mine in yet. Then Presley starts passing out pens. Then tha phone rings and everyone gets quiet when he answers it. Then Aniyah juss walked out. And Johnny is still making noises and talking. Ms. Nakada is gonna b mad. Now Johnny is making out wit his desk. I have 2 correct a test so brb. I finished!! Then Bryant came up to me and tld me to tell Ms. Nakada hi 4 him so there. And i juss got my test back and i have 8/8! Now Jennifer said hi to Ms.Nakada. And Mikai says tha Clippers suck!! Hey fourth period!

I don't know if Sarai has read her blog yet or not, but I just wanted to say hi, and I hope you had a great spring break. My break was busy. That first Friday night, I went into labor and early in the morning on April 1, I became a mom! It's wonderful, and exhausting, and you should all go home and talk with your mothers about your birth because it is no joke. Having a baby is hard work! But the pay-off is little Miss Kiara Harper Nakada-Gantt. Here's a picture...

Rocque just read his blog and picked me to do the blog. Johnny and tajj are fighting, and a Eli just waiked in. Ms. Nakada gives us a planer for while shes gone.  Ms. Nakada said to make a new page in are note book and call it NaPoWriMo. But before we do that we had to finsh writing somthing about about Ezperanza writing. Ms.Nakada just told Johnny to start working. Johnny is making this werid noise and Ms.Nakada gets mad at some of us. Then some one just made a bang noise. Then the class started to talk a little but about Ezperanza Rising. Byant just got in troble for cewing something and he had to put his name on the bored just like i had to but i was just finshing my foo because i had to stay in the libery with Moer and Isaia to finsh making the card we gave to Ms.Nakada. Johnny said it smell like some one farted. Daniel is pretending he has a gun and pretending to shoot Johnny. Rocque just said he is going to miss her. Then a girl came in and gave Ms.Nakada a paper and Johnny said he's having a baby and kept on saying work it work it. He says it is a song. Then Johnny was talking to Daniel. Eli just came back again with money. Then they just started to talk about Anilella who got in big truoble. Ms. Nakada gets mad with us because we worth writing. Johnny ask Tajj was okay. Then Tajj started talking to a kid out side. Wow there so many present for Ms.Nakada here aka if you did not know Ms.Nakada is not going to be here for the rest of the year because she is going to have a baby girl and needs to be with the baby for a while. i'M SO BORED. NO ONE IS DOING THATING. Johnny got mad that she picked Trinity instaid of him. They start to say mean things about her. Then Johnny start singing and tajj asked who put a stain on his shrit. Daniel says hi to be randomly and Johnny say you suck. Jada and Ania walks by. Ms.Nakada said that it is Natinal Poetry month in April. Tajj and Johnny are shoting hoops with the trash can. Johnny missed 1 and got 1 in make that 2 miss and 2 got in. Ms.Nakada reads a poem twice and we had to write words that we chose for a poem and that we liked in it. Johnny start singing and Ms.Nakada ask if anyone wanted to say there poem. Anaiya and Moar saids there poem. Also Yulany says her poem. (Mr. Hasting looks funny in his chicken/dress costume.)  I have to go and talk a test on Cross My Heart And Hope To Spy. Saide said to put her in the blog. So I did. Rocque sees hi and ask were my book project is. Thats so werid.Heyyyy<3<3! That was Sarah that worte that. A girl out side say Hi Ms.Nakada. Trinity just pass me and said green, yellow, and red. I have to idea what that means. Ms. Nakada got mad at Johnny again. Ms.Nakada right now is checking book project. Johnny was just flirting with Anya and she said stop. Now they are passing porfolios. Then Ms.Nakada just said that Tajj has 0% of his work done and Johnny has 4% of his work done. Bryant said sup and Ms.Nakada ask if I have reading journals and Preasly says YOOO!!!!!!  Ms.Nakada tells some people that they are missing some of there reading journals. Anthony says Hi. It is werid that everybody say hi to the person that is doing the blog. Pedro is at the book shelf and he been there for a while now. He is looking at MockingJay one of my favorite book. Anya comes by to bring a book back. Sarah needs to use the bathroom really badly. Ms.Nakada said to have a pail in the alie. Then people start saying werid noise.daniel hust said cp 3 32 blake griffin deandre jordan way we got billups. Ruben is highlighting his essay at the dsk i am siting on. Now he is singing a song about spring braek and his brother. The bell just rang and we are still in the class room. Everyone cleans there desk. Khran just came to the door. Ms nakada told us to get out or notebooks and esperanza rising books mickia walked up to me and said hey.  the class wont be queit taaj keeps talking to johny and then ms. nakada srated reading.Mellisa keeps talking to jennifer lopez taaj is really weird. sarah and samantha keep talking. now we stopped reading and start taking notes. sarai is going to the trash to throw somthing away.well i have to go write my notes i wll be back bye. danie says cp3 3 2 blake griff he is reall creeping me out. We continued to read anaya keeps using her phone she thinks nobody seee's her because she is hidding it behind her esperanza rising book. I think she is texting. Sadie wanted me to put her in the blog. o there u go! It got really quiet right now! "Shoker!" Johnny is waving at me when Ms. Nakada said to stop. But he did it anyways. BIG SHOCKER. Taaj just said Hey and stuff. Sarah is just working on her essay. lol She looks so focused. Ms. Nakada was reading her essay to give an example. Daniel just came by and whispered Miami Heat rocks and also said some weird numbers and letters like cb blake or whatever he said. It's pass the bell and I'm tardy and so are four other people. I have to stand at the door.I walk in the class and I go to my seat and I write my agenda and all I can think about really is how I hated our subsitute we had on Friday. Taaj is doing something with his eyes. Jenifer Lopez is turning red because of her laughter and Taaj keep playing with his fake nails. Anthony just said hi and Jovi wanted me to put her in the blog. Ms. Nakada is looking around the room and checking reading journals.I wonder what is reading about charactor is. So today Moar read his blog and chose me to do it. Right now Ms. Nakada told us to get our Esperanza Rising books put and asked us a question. Only 4 people knew the answer to the question that she was asking. She told the class to read quietly because she was upset that only 4 people knew the question. While everone was reading quietly Ms. Nakada was checking reading journals. Now the class and Ms. Nakada are taking notes and reading the book. Ms. Nakada told two people to get color pencils. Like i don't get how come when someone gives out something and the teacher doesn't say anything to do with them they just don't listen and go ahead and do what ever they want to do with the things. They all are still taking about  the book. Jonathan just pulled something out of his backpack and what do you know it is a wolf tail and started swinging the wolf tail around. And now it seems like Trinity doesn't want to pay attention so she goes to the trash can like a million times to sharpen her pencil. Wow I am so bored so the bell just rang so bye!!!

It is going to be a long day because it is block day. Then she gave us a paper to write Tio Luis and four facts about him. I helped pass the high lighters around. Now we have to find the evidnce about what we discribed him. Then Daniel comes and says did you put me in the blog. Roque says to put him in the blog and that he said GO OREGON DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! We started class off with Ruben  reading the blog. After he read the blog he picked be to do the blog. The next thing on the agenda was something call Falling in Love. For that we have to write down evrything we love on a piece of note book paper. I think it has to do with Valentine's Day tomorrow. A girl came in to the class room to ask if Ms. Nakada had seen glasses and a lead pencil. It was really quiet in the class room intil Ms. Nakada started to say what to do. That's when the whole class started to talk. Ms. Nakada told us that we need to write the story about how we fell in love with the thing you love. What I'm going to talk about is "The Hunger Games"series. Ms. Nakada asked if anyone what to share their writing. Ms. Nakada asked Presley to say his story. His story is about how Preasly fell in love with animals. Then Ms. Nakada tell her story about how much she love snow bording. After that Isaiah told his story about a girl named Marlo. Then Ms. Nakada asked everybody to stand up. Then she said who ever she called can sit down. Everybody who was still standing up had not yet given Ms. Nakada their perfect paragraph yet. Then Tajj and Danial came to me. Tajj said I wrote a lot of thing, and then Daniel told me that I spell Marlo wrong. Ms. Nakada said that everybody else can do their Semester reflections. Everybody started taking and Ms.Nakada told us to stop, but we did not. Later on we got quiet. Ruben went to the bookshelf and was looking for a book. I asked him what he was looking for and he said nothing.We all started talking again. Gary came to the bookshelf and I ask him what he doing. He also did not answer. Daniel and Trinity started fighting. Hiiiii:)!!!!! That was Sarah writing. Ms. Nakada said to start packing up. The just rang and you know what that means: LUNCH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Maor read his blog and then he picked me. Well Ms. Nakada is explaining a thing about reflections or at least something like that. Some kids went to the back to get color pencils, and why are they getting color pencils? I don't know. I really am not paying attention because I can't multi task but I try. Well, Taaj is making some very nasty noises trying to be funny but it really isn't. Taaj  just came up to try to read my blog but I covered it. And now Bryant comes up and tries to read my blog too. Well Ms. Nakada is explain what to do now. Actually don't know what the class is doing because Ms. Nakada is standing in the front of the room and the kids are just getting up and sharpening their pencils, talking and designing their portfolios reflecting on the first semester.  Well, Daniel keeps annoying me to put him in the blog so there you have it anything else!!! Well, I turn around and I see Annabelle, Annyah, Christiana, and Trinity having a good old conversation instead of doing there work. Bryant is really annoying me now like big time!!!! Well at least I know what to do now. We were soposed to draw or write anything we learned in the first semester. Which that was easy so already finished it. Taaj is trying to pick up a paper on the table with his mouth. There is really something wrong with taaj he keeps making these nasty noises. Well here I am sitting in this dumb chair listening to people yell saying yah or yay. It's like, come on man we are sixth graders not kindergardeners. Well anyways Ms. Nakada is explaining to the class what you are supposed to have. She is passing out the test and the class is pretty quiet. Is it just me or the class being quiet is a miracle oh wait but then I hear Ms. Nakada saying shush to the class so it isn't. I just don't get why the class can't be quiet all you have to do is just shut your mouth. Well, now the class is working on their tests. Well really nothing is going on today the whole class is just doing there test. Some kids are coming to the bookshelf to get some books. I sometimes wonder why kids come to get books. It's like what are you reading in ET then?! Daniel just came in the room I think he came from Ms. Mertash's room well anyways he walked past me and said a bad word. Well anyways let me go back to my test because it is the last day to do it. I look back and see Annebelle talking with someone else I didn't get to see who but she ws surely talking to someone. So today Bryant read his blog then he picked me to do it next. Then Ms. Nakada told us she was going to hand back the tests so we can go over them and correct them.Then she started to call out on people's names who were raising their hands to give the correct answer. Then I looked over at my test. Davon was writing and Anayah's scratching her forehead and everytime Ms. Nakada asks a qeestion people always seem to say ohhh oh raising there hands so that they can get Ms. Nakada's attention. So I look back and see Davon reading my blogg from a distance then he saw me looking at him and started to make a face at me and at the same time turning his head slowly. So it kinda creeped me out but I thought to myself I'll probably get over it soon. Ms. Nakada passed out the SPA assessment and explained how to do the annotations and read footnotes. Then I looked across the room in the back and I think Taaj is trying to mouth something to me and then I had a confused look. Well, my hands are getting tired and now I'm looking at the clock thinking when is the bell gonna ring well there's nothing else to write about sooooo BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!.OH YEAH Roque says GOOO OREGON DUCKS.!!!!!!!! So, Bye!!!!!!

Today Jovi went up to read the blog. Jovi picked me today. I heard Davon say shhhhh to me. Everyone is quiet because we are taking a quiz so there's nothing to write about. Davon came up to look at my blog. I turned around and Johnny was playing around. Almost everyone is done and reading a book. Taaj comes and says dang because I wrote little bit. Davon came up to say hi. JADA and EDWIN walked through the door. The bell rang so bye.

Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out their English notebooks and start a new page on compare and contrast. Then she puts up a picture of a volcano and starts asking us questions about it. Now we are looking at the picture of the volcanoe after it erupted. Then some people started talking. Then Ms. Nakada juss told Jennifer to spit out what she had in her mouth. Now Davon and Christiana are playing. Brb. I have to write down some notes... I'm back and there isn't that much to write about. Davon & Christiana are still playing. Then the phone rang, Ms. Nakada went to answer it, everyone started talking and Presley keeps calling me. Now everyone is talking about some game with the Giants. Now Ms. Nakada is telling us to start a new page on "Organizational Structures". Everyone just started talking. So now I'm just sitting here waiting for the bell to ring while everyone is talking and putting things  up. Okay so the bell just rang and everyone is packing their stuff and I have to do the same so BYEEE!!! :D

     Today we're in the computer lab. Ms. Nakada told us to sit where we were sitting last time. Johnny read his blog and picked me. Now Ms. Nakada is passing are portfolios to us so we can check if we have what we need. Edwin and Taja are singing a werid song. Yulany accidently got her sister's Perfect Paragraph. I'm so bored!!!! And nervous too because I have to act  in front of my whole drama class. ): SO BACK TO CLASS everybody is talking right now. It's kind of anoying. Now Isaiah and Bryant is making anoying noise. I think they were doing the noise that the grown ups from Snoopy make.  Now everybody is doing work that they didn't do. Ms. Nakada asked Ghislanie to show her, her English Notebook. Ms. Nakada asked Taaj if he still going to be in ESA. Samantha asked me to make her paper flowers for for Drama class because she has to act like her mom has cancer and the paper flowers are her prop (it' supposed to be roses.) UPDATE: Some random girls just walked in to the computer lab. Ms. Nakada just asked Yulany to do some errands. Now I need to read "The Hunger Games". I'll be back soon.

I'm back. Mr. Hasting just walked in and he got mad at Daniel because he did something(I didn't see what he did.) UPDATE: Bryant just printed something and Ms. Nakada asked Samantha if she what to go with Yulany to take the portfolios back or something. Ruben said he didn't what to be in the blog. Sorry Ruben, but you're in the blog. the chair outside holding the door just fell. WEIRD. Yulany found something on the computer that said everything that annoys Ms. Nakada.

The bell just rang So SEE YOU LATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Tuesday and people kept saying pick Johnny pick Johnny!!!!!! Out loud. Jennifer N. wasn't here today so Ms. Nakada had to read jennifers BLOG. I turned around and saw what I should write about. So Annabelle fell, And everybody start laughing and so did I. People were passing back work, and portfolios and recording their scores. Jenifer Lopez was talking to Sarah and Davon was making beats on the table, And Davon and Edwin kept on playing. Bryant was talking to Gary, And Taaj came over and said wow that's amazing that you are doing the BLOG. Samantha and Annabelle were talking to each other. It's almost time for the bell to ring and Ms. Nakada is telling every body to take out there English notebooks and write their portfolio checklist. Edwin is talking to hiself and Anthony is talking Bryant. Anthony start taping his feet that's anoying. So we have two more minutes intell the bell rings so Ms. Nakada is saying tings and now the bell rung so I got to go to lunch BYE.

           Ms. Nakada told us to take out our reading journals and book projects for her to check. Ms. Nakada told us told us to start working on our rj or book project if we didn't turn it in. So many people started to work .Daniel came up to me and said "was up." Bryant came up to me and told me he found a quarter. Roque kept talking to a lot of kids in the class and was messing around. Jenifer and Sara kept talking to each other. It was almost time for the bell to ring. Anthony kept playing around with Bryant . The bell rang and it was time for us to go to lunch!  :)

HW: 14.1-14.5 and Book Projects due Friday!

Today we were making milkshakes and Annabelle read the blog and then she picked me. That ruined my day. It sucks. Ms. Nakada started making milkshales. They looked really good there was strawberry and chocalat. Anaya just kept on talking to she was really getting annoying. Now Ms. Nakada is making strawberry milkshakes. Then jonathean and anthony were talking about that they should make oreo milkshakes. Well, everybody drank their milkshake and we went back to reading and writing about "The Shutout." Ms. Nakada told everybody to get our book out and they did then ms nakada was talking about who invented baseball and hen i said jackie robinson but she said no. She said it was more than one person and she was talking about how the did not let the blacks play baseball so the organized their own league. Then ms nakada was talking about if everyone had there book projects and that they had to do it. We wrote paragraphs about what we learned from the story.

"The Shutout"

HW: RJ 14.2

So today Davon read his blog and so he chose me to do it again. After he chose me Ms. Nakada told us to get out our paper from yesturday. Now they are talking about the notes we wrote about yesturday. Once again they are all talking about "The Shutout" I think. I am not so sure!!!! Oh and ah the story they are talking about is ''The Shutout''. Now once they are taking nots Taaj is raising his hand for a question that Ms.Nakada asked. She calls him and so he says the answer and it was right, I guess. Now Ms.Nakada is telling the call to read a paragrah on there own, so now she ask them what was the paragrah was about.While i am looking around for somthing to write about Davon told me something but could not understand. When i was still looking around Ms.Nakada told me that i need to write the notes that they are writing about to.Oh no i guess i forgot to write the homework done at the top i just barly noticed that. I am so bored i do not even know what to rite about thats how bored i am haha.For right now the class is still talking about ''The Shutout''!!.While Ms.Nakada is reading a paragrah in the book the phone starts to ring. Right now i am taking notes now.All right Ms.Nakada  says  rite after that she syas ok the last paragrah and everybody says yayaya!!!!! and Davon volentered to read the last paragraph. Once he was done reading Ms.Nakada asked Taaj to see what he was talking about and he did not answer.So now the bell rang so bye!!!!!

R.J. 14.1 "The Shutout"

When I got up to go to the computer Bryant was looking at the letter that I had inside my notebook, then he hit my notebook. Bryant stuck his tongue out at me.  Now Jonnhy is talking to himself which is really weird.  Edwin just through a piece of paper away.  We talked about two poems and Ms. Nakada's said is it the Isaiah show today where he is just blurting words out.  Edwin just said what's up man again so many times that it starts to get annoying.  Now we are talking about goals and wishes.  We are doing Cornell Notes on the story "The Shutout."
